Veeam Partners With N2W Software to Provide AWS Availability Solutions. Veeam Software presented a new availability solution for Amazon Web Services Inc. (AWS), which it developed in partnership. Veeam Availability can help enterprises transition to multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud environments. It provides agentless backups and recovery of AWS instances. N2W Software contributed Cloud Protection Manager, which allows enterprises to copy data from AWS to a Veeam-hosted repository. This provides a hybrid approach to operational backups and cross platform disaster recovery services. N2W CEO Jason Judge stated yesterday that hybrid architecture is becoming more popular, but enterprises must be able to protect their data in these environments. “Our integration and collaboration to Veeam deliver truly accessible hybrid cloud infrastructures.” Veeam Availability Suite v10 now includes the new AWS solution. Veeam stated yesterday that the solution reduces the risk of losing your applications and protects your AWS data from accidental deletion, malicious activity, and outages. The solution includes the following features:
- Cloud-native, agentless backups and recovery using native AWS snapshots. This eliminates complexity and improves recovery SLAs.
- AWS workloads can be protected from downtime and data loss by storing backups and decoupling data.
- Reliable and powerful recovery technologies are available to help achieve industry-leading RTOs, including instant recovery, granular files and application recovery.
Veeam also announced Veeam Agent Microsoft Windows, which extends its “Always On Cloud” Availability Platform to public clouds and physical servers. This supports workloads on AWS, Microsoft Azure, and other cloud services.
